He who lives without folly isn’t so wise as he thinks.
~ Francois De La Rochefoucauld (1613 – 1680)
Since it is the first of the month, I had originally planned to begin our discussion of the Fourth House of the birth chart today. But I am instead taking a slight detour to rant. Sorry.
I just learned that this wing-nut push to create a national I.D. has already taken a major step forward, thanks to a website that is publishing everyone’s drivers licenses.
Evidently, “The United States amendment to the Freedom of Information Act enacted on Sept. 3rd 2008 provides public access to motor vehicle driver’s information in an electronic format.”
That, in my opinion, is just too much. I am just fed up with Big Brother keeping tabs on me, and sharing personal information without my permission! Who is behind this latest incursion on our privacy, and to what end?
The scary part is that these are searchable. You can look up anyone’s license online, which of course includes our home address, date of birth, and other personal information.
Of course, I checked it out, and . . yes, mine was right there.
For now, you can still opt to remove it, which I did, and I strongly recommend the same for you. If you go to the site, you can enter the pertinent search information to check if they have yours already posted online. When you see it, you can click to have it removed for public viewing, however, I understand that it is still on file with Homeland Security, law enforcement, etc.
Here’s that site: http://www.license.shorturl.com
Good luck and thanks for bearing with me. We’ll start next week.
Thank gawdess that I don’t have a driver’s license.
LOL Love It!!!!

Happy April foolery day.
Oh Beth, good for you.. we all need a little lightening up, don’t we!
Ay-yi-yi, I fell for it.
(Red face) Ha-Ha!
Thanks for the laugh!!
Ha-ha!! Got me!
Feel for it, full of righteous indignation over what conservatives were planning to do next, till I realized I was a baboon. As a baboon I don’t need to drive. I can just swing from tree to tree.
I had a feeling. . . thanks for the laugh.
LOL
