He does not seem to me to be a free man who does not sometimes do nothing.
Marcus Tullius Cicero (106-43 BCE)
This is quite an unusual event. Today’s card very clearly called out to me, and when I turned it over, I had to laugh.
Welcome back this week to the Four of Swords.
This week, I am going to take its guidance more to heart. Because, honestly? Last week I really didn’t.
As the balsamic Moon fades, the end of the magical year approaches, and Mercury prepares to station retrograde, the repeated message from the Tarot is — stop.
Take your time.
Take a strategic retreat.
Rest your busy brain.
And prepare yourself, for you and I are already well into the rigors of a eon-changing, deep initiation.
To review the Four of Swords’ traditional meaning and message, here is the link to last week’s far more in-depth post.
And then, I suggest you take this as a mandate that you give yourself plenty of contemplative downtime. I know I am.
Starting here and now.
Blessings.
I so love this! Two weeks in a row and a perfect card for the dark moon/new moon week.
Weirdly, I had a feeling this card would appear again. We all need this rest so badly
